We are looking for a competent Restaurant Server to take and deliver orders. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff using Toast.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring the highest standards of presentation.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, refilling drinks, and addressing any needs or concerns.
- Assist with bussing tables to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Process payments accurately and ensure proper handling of cash transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any special requests from guests.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with culinary terminology and menu items is a plus.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive rapport with guests.
- Proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team player mentality with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
