Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team
- Serve food, drinks, and cocktails efficiently while maintaining presentation standards; upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle all sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with food preparation, wine knowledge sharing, and spirits experience to elevate the guest experience in fine dining settings
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, recommending pairings, and ensuring overall guest comfort
Requirements
- Proven restaurant or food service experience, ideally within a fast-paced or fine dining environment
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organization skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, spirits handling, and upselling techniques is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transaction processing; attention to detail is essential
