Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to join our dynamic team! As the welcoming face of our establishment, you will create a positive first impression for guests by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth seating and reservation processes. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel immediately welcomed and appreciated
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain clear communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
- Answer guest inquiries politely via phone or in person, providing accurate information about wait times, menu options, and restaurant policies
- Monitor guest flow during busy periods, managing waitlists and seating assignments to optimize guest satisfaction
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization at the host stand and waiting areas
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience for all
Experience
- Previous host or host experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members
- Background in hospitality or hotel guest services enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving etiquette, and phone etiquette is advantageous
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
- Prior experience with guest relations or customer service roles will help you excel in this position
