We are seeking a motivated and energetic Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team! Duties
- Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed; install and hook up appliances if necessary
- Verify delivery orders, ensure accuracy, and document all shipments properly
- Deliver goods directly to customers, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each interaction
- Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in similar commercial driving roles involving box trucks
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation tools to optimize delivery schedules
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and efficiently
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and inventory management systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Chauffeur's endorsement is required; must pass background and drug test
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
