As a canvasser, you'll be the heart of this effort, going door to door in our neighborhoods, having real conversations with real people, and sharing why CA-40 deserves a representative who works for them not a party.
Responsibilities
- Walk assigned neighborhood turf and connect with voters in genuine, one-on-one conversations
- Share Nina's independent platform on education, economic opportunity, and community uplift
- Help voters understand what it means to support an independent candidate — and why it matters
- Record voter responses accurately using the campaign's canvassing app
- Distribute campaign materials and answer basic voter questions
- Check in with field organizers after each shift

As a phone banker, you'll reach voters across CA-40, introduce them to Nina's independent candidacy, and invite people from all political backgrounds to be part of something different a campaign that answers only to the community.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to voters using the campaign's calling platform
- Clearly and warmly explain that Nina is running as an Independent — not affiliated with any party
- Share key campaign messages and Nina's vision for the district
- Identify supporters, undecided voters, and potential volunteers across all party affiliations
- Log call outcomes and notes in the campaign database
- Support voter registration reminders and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts

About the Role Independent campaigns don't have the infrastructure of the major parties which means our team carries real responsibility and real impact. As a Campaign Administrator, you'll help keep the engine running, supporting daily operations so that everyone from volunteers to field organizers can do their best work. This role is essential, and I'm grateful for every person willing to step into it.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate volunteer and voter databases through careful data entry
- Support scheduling, correspondence, and day-to-day administrative logistics
- Help coordinate campaign events, including setup, communications, and follow-up
- Prepare materials: packets, briefing documents, sign-in sheets that reflect Nina's independent platform
- Assist the communications team with social media monitoring and content drafts as needed
- Serve as a welcoming point of contact for volunteer inquiries and onboarding
- Help track ballot access requirements and independent candidate compliance deadlines
