Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate daily field activities for assigned commercial and industrial electrical projects, ensuring work is executed on schedule, within scope, and to code
Lead a crew of journeymen and apprentices, providing clear task assignments, technical direction, and on-site mentorship
Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals to plan work sequences and anticipate material and manpower needs
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the GC superintendent, communicating progress, coordinating with other trades, and flagging schedule impacts
Track daily labor hours and document field activities, change order triggers, and any deviations from the approved scope
Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections, enforce NIMPRO safety standards, and participate in GC-led toolbox talks and site meetings
Manage material staging and coordinate deliveries with the project manager to maintain continuous workflow
Identify RFI needs and communicate them to the PM promptly to avoid field delays
Ensure all rough-in, trim-out, and testing work meets inspection readiness standards before scheduling
Uphold quality standards and hold the crew accountable to workmanship expectations on every phase of the project
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical field experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or foreman role
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, panel schedules, and electrical specifications
Working knowledge of NEC code requirements applicable to commercial and industrial installations
Experience coordinating directly with general contractor superintendents and other trades on active job sites
Ability to plan and sequence work independently — from rough-in through trim-out and inspection — without constant PM oversight
Strong crew management skills with the ability to direct, develop, and hold accountable a team of journeymen and apprentices
Comfortable with daily field documentation including time tracking, material logs, and change order notation
Familiarity with conduit systems (EMT, rigid, PVC), wire management, gear installation, and device/fixture work in commercial settings
OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
