Description:
We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with strong expertise in LIMS, SQL, and Oracle. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in database design, data cleansing, and system setup within a secure enterprise environment. This role involves database environment preparation, data cleansing across multiple systems, testing, validation, and documentation for system integrations.
Hours are flexible, but candidate must work onsite in Deerfield, IL.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Set up and configure database environments and perform system cloning activities.
- Prepare the environment/DB in Baxter DMZ for data cleansing readiness.
- Create and validate data filtration scripts for Baxter and Vantive data, excluding SIMTRA data.
- Remove security groups, permissions, and security keys from cloned systems within the DMZ.
- Develop and run data cleansing scripts to remove SIMTRA-related data (manufacturing, product codes, documents, and PII).
- Write and execute verification scripts to confirm successful data separation and integrity.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure system stability and data accuracy.
- Document procedures, cleansing steps, and cloning instructions for Vantive team integrations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years experience with LIMS, SQL, and Oracle.
- Strong understanding of LabVantage LIMS version 8 and related development/configuration.
- Solid knowledge of build and deployment processes.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries (Oracle/MS SQL).
- Familiarity with Java EE servers (Oracle WebLogic, JBoss EAP, or IBM WebSphere).
- Experience with Java modules and frameworks (web services, Hibernate, JMS).
- Knowledge of Jasper Reports is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
