DOT COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
Odessa, TX | Full-Time
Nimble Crane is seeking an experienced DOT Compliance Coordinator to lead fleet compliance, driver qualification, safety programs, and regulatory documentation for our crane and heavy lifting operations across the Permian Basin and surrounding region.
Position summary:
The DOT Compliance Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs for commercial motor vehicles, drivers, and fleet operations. This role works closely with the HSE director, operations, dispatch, supervisors, drivers, and maintenance personnel to ensure adherence to all federal, state, and company safety
stanards.
Key Responsiblities
• Oversee and maintain driver qualificat
ion (DQ files.
• Monitor FMCSA and DOT compliance requrements.
• Oversee Hours of Service (HOS) compliance and ELD monitoring.
• Conduct driver onboarding,orientation, and
compliance training.
• Oversee driver MVR reviews, annual certifications, and
medical card tracking.
• Coordinate DOT drug and
alcohol testng programs.
• Track vehicle inspections, maintenance records, and regulatory documentation.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare DOT audits and inspections.
• Investigate vehicle accidents, incidents, and safety violations.
• Maintain fleet safety
records and compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with operations and dispatch to support oversize and heavy-haul transporation compliance.
• Develop and implement company transportation safety polices and procedures.
• Stay current on FMCSA, DOT, OSHA,
and industry regulatons.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5-10 years of DOT compliance or transportaton safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulation and DOT requirements.
• Experience managing driver qualification files and compliance programs.
• Familiarity with ELD systems, fleet software and telematics platforms.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in crane, construction, oilfield, or transpotation industries preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• DOT Compliance Certificationor related safety credentials.
• Experience as a state DOT law enforcement officer is desired.
• Experience with Samsara or similar fleet telematics platforms.
• Experience supporing multi-state fleet operations.
• OSHA safety training and/or
certification.
