Summary of Position
The Assets Inventory Supervisor, based in New Albany, Indiana, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and efficient movement of parts, materials, scaffolding, and safety equipment supporting the Louisville branch. This role oversees branch inventory operations and coordinates the pickup and delivery of equipment to meet project demands.
The supervisor evaluates equipment availability and project locations, partnering closely with Logistics to ensure timely fulfillment of incoming orders and optimal utilization of company assets. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory readiness, supporting operational efficiency, and maximizing scaffold and equipment usage.
Working collaboratively with Supply Chain and Operations, the Assets Inventory Supervisor ensures company-owned assets are properly tracked, maintained, and allocated, while supporting accurate rental rate application across projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely handle, move, and load scaffold components, materials, and equipment.
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure equipment safety and readiness.
Operate CDL-required vehicles to complete timely and efficient deliveries and pickups.
Conduct regularly scheduled inventory audits to ensure accuracy and accountability of all assets.
Process transactions within Vista and other company systems with a high level of accuracy.
Track and document equipment movement, including internal job allocations and rental charge application for company-owned assets.
Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools to support inventory tracking and operational reporting.
Collaborate with other branch locations to support company-wide equipment needs and operational efficiency.
KPI’s will include
o Maintain accurate inventory levels and customer order records.
o Achieve on-time performance for all equipment pickups and deliveries.
o Ensure accuracy and visibility of available equipment, scaffold components, and materials.
o Maintain high equipment readiness through effective inspection, maintenance, and repair practices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience
- Minimum of 2 years of equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair experience
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 lbs on a regular basis
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and accountability
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and standard business software
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed
Technical Skills
- Equipment inspection, maintenance, and basic repair
- Knowledge of CDL operations and DOT compliance standards
- Experience with ERP systems (Vista or similar preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables and data tracking)
