Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales Manager based in Tracy City, TN. This role is heavily focused on driving revenue growth specifically within plastic injection molding services, leading sales efforts, customer engagement, and business development tied to molded components and related programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on plastic injection molding programs and capabilities
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the injection molding and automotive manufacturing sectors
- Cultivate and maintain strong B2B relationships with existing clients and prospects, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 / Tier 2 customers requiring injection molded components
- Lead contract negotiations and close high-value technical sales deals related to molding programs
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive positioning within the injection molding industry
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align customer needs with manufacturing capabilities
- Manage sales pipeline, forecasting, and revenue performance
- Conduct outside sales activities including client visits, trade shows, and industry networking events to generate new business opportunities
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Mandatory: Proven experience in plastic injection molding sales (this is a strict requirement)
- Strong background in technical or outside sales within manufacturing, specifically plastics or molding
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex injection molding solutions and close large-scale contracts
- In-depth understanding of tooling, materials, and molding processes
- Experience working with or selling into automotive customers (OEMs, Tier suppliers preferred)
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple accounts effectively
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a strategic mindset for closing complex deals
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving and account management
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and site visits
