We’re currently on the lookout for a Purchasing Manager to join our team
You Will:
- Lead the RFP process which involves sourcing, costing and negotiation for commodities such as Cab & Plastic components, Thermal and Electronics/Infotainment systems, Plastics components
- Establish proposal review process, ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documented before business is initiated
- Drive price negotiations to ensure best in class pricing. minimize total cost of ownership by monitoring and analyzing cost drivers, trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality and market conditions
- Develop a long-term product sourcing roadmap considering both strategic and tactical needs
- Build cost structure for described commodities
- Perform analytics to arrive at sourcing patterns for these commodities. benchmark the cost structure against industry recognized models built by national research labs as well as major competitors
- Develop key performance measures for chosen suppliers. work closely with quality and engineering team to ensure that supplier accountability metrics of quality, delivery and pricing are met
- Assess risks posed to the organization because of poor supplier performance and develop contingency plans to mitigate risk to supply chain.
- Analyze and support all supply related activities including production and capacity reviews, inventory reviews, production orders, inventory status, and customer fulfillment
- Improve operational control by analyzing price variance, excess and obsolete material, consigned material and create procedures to minimize liability and improve operational controls
- Lead efforts from supply chain team for prototype development
- Work closely with engineering team, quality team and suppliers to transition from prototype to production
- Support efforts related design and production validation and other structured six sigma processes that include critical tasks from concept approval through production

Supervise the work of global supply managers for same commodities
You Have:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics; closely related discipline and at least 12 months of leadership experience in the job offered or as a purchasing agent or closely related occupation
- Minimum experience of 12 months must include
- Sourcing, monitoring purchasing and inventory metrics using analytical tools such as MS Excel, Access and Visual Basic
- Experience working with the commodities specified in this job description
- Travel required to visit suppliers and for attending work-related conferences (estimated to be between 25% of work time)
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
