Job Overview
Nikos To Go, a fast-casual Greek restaurant, is seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Front Counter Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth ordering experience. Responsibilities include handling transactions accurately, managing takeout and dine-in orders, and maintaining a clean, organized front counter area.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the POS system accurately for taking orders, processing payments, and handling cash
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout the ordering process
- Guide customers through menu items, including making recommendations and answering questions about Greek cuisine
- Ensure orders are packed correctly for takeout and efficiently coordinate with kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, beverage station, and guest areas
- Manage phone-in orders using proper phone etiquette
- Restock utensils, sauces, packaging, and other front-of-house supplies as needed
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels for front-of-house items
- Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
- Promote daily specials or seasonal menu items to enhance the guest experience
Experience
- No previous experience required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
