Key Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and follow established procedures.
- Sort and store clean dishes and kitchen items in their designated areas.
- Keep the dishwashing station clean, organized, and properly supplied.
- Clean sinks, counters, floors, and other assigned kitchen areas.
- Remove trash and maintain proper sanitation throughout the shift.
- Restock clean dishes, utensils, and cookware as needed.
- Assist kitchen staff with routine cleaning and support tasks.
- Monitor dishwashing and cleaning supplies and communicate restocking needs.
- Help maintain a clean and safe kitchen during busy service periods.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and routine restaurant cleaning duties.
- Work cooperatively with cooks, servers, and other restaurant team members.
Qualifications
- Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience is helpful but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
