Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases at the counter, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately, including cash handling, credit card transactions, and digital payments
- Prepare simple food items or assist in food preparation areas to support quick service needs while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items or retail products to enhance sales opportunities and maximize revenue potential
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including food handling stations, cashier stations, and surrounding spaces, following sanitation protocols
- Manage cash register operations efficiently, ensuring accurate math calculations for transactions and providing correct change
- Support food industry standards by assisting with bussing tables, food serving, or basic kitchen tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred; culinary experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between cashier duties and food preparation support
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or restaurant environment will be advantageous
- Must be dependable with good attention to detail and a positive attitude toward teamwork
