NIKA is hiring for a Temporary Laborer (IDIQ) to support our mission support client in Kodiak, AK. This role will operate fully onsite and is expected to last May 2026- September 2026.

Job Description:
- The Laborer performs tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience.
- Maintains grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property such as buildings, camps and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, and athletic fields.
- Repairs equipment and structures.
- Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances
- Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck
- Stacks materials for storage or binning
- Collects refuse and salvageable materials
- Digs, fills, and tamps earth excavations.
- Levels ground using pick, shovel, and rake
- Shovels materials such as concrete or snow
- Cleans culverts, ditches, sidewalks, streets, and buildings
- Cuts and trims grass, trees, shrubs and brush
- Operates power lawnmowers, equipment, and vacuums
- Moves and arranges pieces of heavy office and household furniture, equipment and appliances.
- Moves and arranges pieces of automotive, medical, engineering and other types of machinery and equipment.
- Spread materials such as sand or salt on icy walkways and roads
- Picks up leaves and trash
- Cleans moss debris from roofs and rain gutters
- All other relevant duties assigned
Required:
- High school education or GED preferred
- They shall be trained and certified on the equipment and software on which they are working from an industry-recognized trainer.
- Valid Alaska driver’s license
- Must remain in good stand with the local Teamster 959 Union
