What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Nihonmachi Little Friends?
We are seeking an experienced Preschoo lTeacher to join our community-based, Japanese bilingual and multicultural childcare organization. The position requires the teacher to plan and conduct project-based, age-appropriate small and large group activities; supervise children both indoors and outdoors; plan and lead large group music period; maintain classroom; work closely with other teaching staff in a team-teaching work situation; and work with parents and staff in the extracurricular activities of the program.

Requirements
- 12-24 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
- BA or MA in ECE (preferred) or related field
- At least 1-2 years of experience
- Knowledge of Emergent Curriculum, Documentation, Reflective Practice and Anti-bias Education
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience communicating with parents and ability to collaborate with staff
- Great problem solving skills
- Enthusiastic team player and able to work with diverse groups
Preschool Site Requirements: TB test within the last 4 years, livescan fingerprinting, Pertussis immunization, Measles immunization, and Annual Flu vaccination. Influenza vacation can be declined
Compensation and Benefits
