The Clinical Application Specialist, Neurology (NCAS) is responsible for providing professional Clinical Applications Training and customer support. Interfacing with but not limited to NK Sales, Clinical Specialist, Marketing, Service, Support, IT, and PMO to effectively implement Nihon Kohden Systems into customer sites. Managing time wisely and efficiently and accomplishing assignments in established timeframes. The NCAS presents a professional image with above-average customer service skills.

Essential Functions And Main Duties

  • Develops and delivers customized training and support plans for Nihon Kohden equipment to customer accounts.
  • Assembles portable carts.
  • Leads implementation teams to complete projects on time, safely, and to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Provides ongoing customer support in person, by telephone, or through remote desktop solutions.
  • Makes travel arrangements in accordance with company policies and completes expense reports within designated timeframes.
  • Updates product knowledge as operations or features change.
  • Maintains clinical knowledge, competence, and active certification.
  • Manages time efficiently to accomplish assignments within established timeframes.
  • Submits required documentation within designated deadlines.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience Required:

  • Associate degree in science or related discipline; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of a degree
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required
  • 3 years of experience in either EEG, or PSG, and one or more of the following disciplinaries; EP, LTM, NCS, EEG, PSG, or IONM
  • Must have one or more of the following credentials: R. EEG T., RPSGT, R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM, CAP, R.NCS.T., CNCT, CAP
  • Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills

Competencies Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Always presents a professional image with an above average skill in customer service.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret equipment manuals, general business periodicals or professional journals.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • An ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization and use technology to present complex information to customers.
  • Working knowledge of Windows PC’s, proficient in Microsoft Outlook email applications, and efficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Office programs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule and ever-changing working environments.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated and can be managed remotely.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation

The anticipated range for this position is $75,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are dependent on the customer’s schedule and the scope of the project. May be required to provide scheduled after-hour support calls. The work week is Monday – Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required.

Physical: Requires some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Travel: Approximately 80% domestically and limited international travel.

Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
