This position is an onsite role in Springfield, VA.
Responsibilities
- Assist with property management tasking such as shipping, receiving, and tracking of government procured equipment
- Support the implementation of lean principles and practices to improve workflow of logistics procedures
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics processes and integration with engineering work
- Use Power Bi, Excel, and other tools to create dashboards, develop metrics, track scores, and perform analytics on logistics procedures
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Identify gaps in processes and develop solutions to meet the business needs of the logistics team
- Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous coursework or experience in supply chain, warehouse/distribution, or related fields
- Familiarity with logistics operations and procurement practices
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention-to-detail and organizational abilities
- Experience with data collection and analysis
