Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as buffers and floor scrubbers.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to uphold a polished appearance.
• Conduct routine trash removal, recycling collection, and waste disposal to keep facilities tidy.
• Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability.
• Carry out detailed custodial tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Assist with light maintenance duties like changing light bulbs or minor repairs as needed.
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent slips, trips, or injuries.
• Support special projects such as industrial cleaning or floor care treatments like buffing and polishing.
• Collaborate with facilities management to report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care (buffing, stripping), window cleaning, and general sanitation practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and preventative upkeep.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work collaboratively with team members.
