Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Conduct detailed floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve the appearance and longevity of flooring surfaces.
• Maintain restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met consistently.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks that may involve the use of specialized equipment for large-scale or heavy-duty cleaning projects.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist with residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facility.
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and maintenance logs for accountability and efficiency purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned promptly and thoroughly according to established standards.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment efficiently while adhering to environmental health guidelines.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to learn.
• Experience with commercial or industrial cleaning techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with floor care procedures such as buffing and polishing enhances your suitability for this role.
• Background in facilities maintenance or porter duties demonstrates versatility in handling various upkeep tasks.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work ensures a secure working environment for yourself and others.
• Previous residential painting or general maintenance experience can be advantageous but is not required.
