Maintenance Assistant - FULL-TIME - Monday - Friday | Day Shift
Position is under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
Experience at SNF/ALF highly desired. Experience in a maintenance department required
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain existing on-resident campus grounds and plantings.
- Help plant, water, dead head and fertilize to maintain existing flower gardens in high profile areas and other campus areas.
- Must operate all vehicles and landscaping equipment during the course of required job duties, in a safe and efficient manner. This includes preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Must work with residents and staff as a liaison for requested private work orders.
- Monitor the campus exterior for safety issues and trash pick up. Help maintain a clean-up schedule
- Assist in being responsible for the snow and ice removal process in the winter and acquire and maintain appropriate equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous long-term care facility experience. Need an applicant that knows the workings of a facilty and can prioritize the grounds in an efficient manner.
ODH and Life Safety
Good communication skills.
Good hands on people skills.
EDUCATION:
High school or equivalent.
