Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Inventory Specialist located in Dearborn, MI. The Inventory Specialist will play a key hands-on role in managing day-to-day inventory operations for a growing small business. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, assisting with purchasing activities, receiving and organizing incoming inventory, and supporting proper check-in and inventory control procedures.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a physical inventory environment, takes ownership of accuracy and organization, and wants to grow with a company where everyone wears multiple hats.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across all product lines
- Receive incoming inventory, verify counts, and ensure proper storage and organization
- Assist with purchasing activities, including tracking incoming orders and coordinating with internal teams
- Support and oversee inventory check-in and counting procedures performed by other team members
- Perform routine physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and communicate potential shortages or issues
- Help improve and maintain inventory control processes
- Support other operational tasks as needed in a small-team environment
Qualifications
- Experience with physical inventory and inventory control processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working hands-on in a warehouse or inventory setting
- Ability to track, document, and communicate inventory information clearly
- Experience with inventory management software or systems is important.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, small-business environment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional inventory or operations experience is a plus
