Host Description

We are looking for people with remarkable hospitality skills and engaging people skills. The right person for this job should be able to multitask greeting the door with mapping out the floor plan for the restaurant. We pride ourselves in providing excellent service which is not limited to their experience at the table, but from when they step out of their car and enter into the establishment until they walk out of the door and to the parking lot. To help Niffer’s Place provide a pleasurable dining experience, a good host should be able to ensure the guest first point of contact is a welcoming and positive experience. Someone who can ensure they have an accommodating and enjoyable time. A suitable candidate for the job should also be a problem-solver and a team player.

Responsibilities of a Host

• Welcoming and holding the door for our guest
• Asking our guest their party number and seating preference
• Keeping a tidy and organized host area
• Seating tables in a manner that is timely for our guest and our kitchen
• Helping servers greet tables when needed
• Helping to clear dishes throughout the restaurant 
• Completing table set up before seating the next party
• Ensuring guest follow COVID guidelines

Main Responsibilities of an Auxiliary Position (Busser, Server Assistant, Sanitizer)

• Helping to bus and reset tables in a timely manner
• Help run food and to assist servers in greeting, and serving tables
• Ensuring guest have everything they may need throughout their visit
• Ensuring we consistently sanitize throughout the restaurant.

Auxiliary Position Description

The right person for this job should be able to understand when necessary to help their team members. Helping to greet a table, pre-bus when necessary, noticing when it is time to sanitize or when the restaurant needs to be sanitized during the shift. We pride ourselves in providing excellent service throughout our guest visit. A suitable candidate or the job should also be a problem-solver and a team player. 

Responsibilities of an Auxiliary Position

• Noticing if a server needs help greeting their section
• Helping to clear dishes as needed 
• Refilling drinks at tables and ensuring pitchers and tea urns are kept refreshed and full
• Ensuring tables are sanitized, reset correctly, and floors are swept for timely seating
• Sanitizing computer stations, pens, door handles, etc. throughout the shift.
