Job Summary: Packaging Specialist assists in development, inventory control, and reimbursement of packaging based on Nifco’s and our customer’s packaging standards.
Essential Functions:
Job Summary: Packaging Specialist assists in development, inventory control, and reimbursement of packaging based on Nifco’s and our customer’s packaging standards.
Essential Functions:
- Works with internal customers regarding scheduling and all aspects of packaging including documentation, verification, and testing of packaging
- Provide alternative expendable options to meet customer returnable condition
- Submit packaging documentation for approval through Q-Pulse and Oracle
- Creating and maintaining NPIFs for mass production
- Support cost savings and improvement activities
- When applicable, maintain returnable & expendable fleet to ensure packaging is available per all customers’ demands including expendable ordering coordination and customer reimbursement process
- When applicable, submit packaging to VPACS for approval to use as backup packaging, along with packaging reimbursement requests
- When applicable, perform cycle counts as needed for returnable for inventory control
- Ensure effective communication with internal Departments
- Creating requisitions and projects for capital requests
- Investigate quality complaints involving packaging
- Supporting reimbursement activity for expandable packaging usage with OEM and Tiers
- Promote excellent cleanliness and organization (5S)
- Other tasks as assigned by management
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to maintain excellent attendance
- Must be familiar enough with injection molding to successfully enhance new project launch and contribute to continuous improvement
- Ability to construct and interpret charts and graphs
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products/ Oracle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averages
- Strong ability to problem solve, establish root cause and countermeasures
- Must be able to work and effectively communicate with Leadership, Supervision, Management, Coworkers, and Team
- Must be willing to learn and perform data entry on computer system and scanner
- Work flexible hours and overtime, as needed
- Must be able to travel, sometimes overnight and on short notice
- Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company
