Maintenance - Maintenance Supervisor I

Job Summary: Manages and coordinates maintenance of all production equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Communicates with contractors of utility systems when contractor skills are required
• Directs workers engaged in installation, repair and preventative maintenance of production equipment
• Compiles reports of completed work costs and presents reports to management
• Inspects completed work for conformance to work order and other specifications
• Submits requisitions needed for tools, equipment and supplies
• Interview, hire, train and evaluate staff on a regular basis
• Maintain a positive influence by behaving in a manner that enhances the success of the department and company
• Other duties as specified by Management

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent, college experience a plus

Skills/Experience/Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience performing a variety of maintenance activities including minimum one year leading and directing staff
• Must demonstrate ability to manage projects and meet stringent deadlines
• Must possess excellent interpersonal / communications skills to interact
• effectively with vendors and other Nifco personnel
• Must demonstrate effective leadership qualities
• Must have effective negotiating skills
• Must work effectively in a team environment
