About the Role:

The Seasonal Grounds Part-Time position is focused on maintaining and enhancing the outdoor environment of various properties during peak seasons. The primary goal is to ensure that all grounds are clean, safe, and visually appealing to visitors and residents alike. This role involves performing routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and debris removal to uphold the aesthetic standards of the property. The position requires adaptability to changing weather conditions and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Ultimately, the role contributes significantly to creating a welcoming and well-maintained outdoor space that reflects positively on the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance techniques.
• Experience operating landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers and trimmers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping roles.
• Familiarity with plant care and seasonal gardening practices.
• Certification or training in the safe operation of landscaping machinery.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations related to grounds maintenance.
• Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and coordinate with team members.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular lawn mowing, edging, and trimming to maintain neat and tidy grounds.
• Plant, water, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees according to seasonal requirements.
• Remove leaves, branches, trash, and other debris to keep the area clean and safe.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers safely and effectively.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or preparing grounds for winter or summer conditions.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
