Job Overview
Niemiec Marine is looking for a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in the marine service industry with strong knowledge of marine systems and diesel engines. However, we are also open to the right candidate with less experience, provided they bring a solid mechanical background and a passion for learning.
As a Marine Technician, you will play a key role in keeping our customers’ vessels operating safely and efficiently. We are certified dealers for Cummins, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Onan, Phasor, Westerbeke, and SeaKeeper, giving you the opportunity to expand your skill set across top marine engine and equipment brands.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on marine vessels
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vessels from 30' to 60'
- Troubleshoot and diagnose marine equipment
- Install various types of marine equipment including engines and generators
- Troubleshoot and repair marine diesel engines
- Perform cooling system service on marine diesel engines
Basic Qualifications
- Mechanical background with hands-on experience as a mechanic
- Ability to rig and install marine equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
Positive attitude, great work ethic, and a willingness to learn
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
