Duties
- Prepare bakery items and assist with food handling to ensure quality and freshness
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Manage food service customer orders efficiently, upselling products to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and kitchen equipment protocols
- Process cash transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Support food safety management practices by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing and serving customers at the bakery counter, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail sales is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a quick service environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately
- Experience operating kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean workspace according to safety standards
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures within the food industry or restaurant setting
