Full-time construction position with great growth opportunity & job security in Blair, Omaha & surrounding areas. Wage increases based on work ethic & performance available after completion of 3 months employment, as well as productivity related incentives. Starting salary based on frame & trim carpentry experience, but will consider anyone looking to work in residential new construction & renovations, small commercial construction & renovations. Paid weekly. Immediate positions available.
Job Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Framing, trim & finish carpentry to complete components of residential projects
- Construction of decks, stairways & railings
- Prep & upkeep of job site
- Loading & unloading of building materials,
- Safe use of equipment & power tools such as forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, nail guns, saws, pressure washers & sprayers
- Set up and take down and safe use of ladders, scaffolding, and temporary structures required to complete general construction of residential and small commercial projects
Skills & Requirements:
- General knowledge & skills of framing & trim carpentry
- Good judgement related to use of equipment & power tools
- Ability to work on a team
- Ability to read & work off blueprints a plus
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Adequate balance & eye-hand coordination
- Physical ability to perform lifting of > 50 lbs
- Ability to tolerate seasonal & sometimes extreme outdoor conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 42 per week
