What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at Nido de Esperanza?

Nido De Esperanza (Nido) is a community-based organization serving low-income families in northern Manhattan from pregnancy until their child is three years old. Our mission is to create a strong foundation for a baby in the first 1,000 days of life through holistic family services, helping families thrive and disrupting long-term financial poverty. Nido was founded in 2016 and currently supports ~120 families with an annual budget of $2M . The majority of our programming is delivered in Spanish.

Nido uses a two-generational approach that is both grounded in science and trauma-informed. Our work includes significant group meetings and community-building, a food pantry, quarterly baby boutiques, doula services, and much more.

Nido is a rapidly growing organization with an entrepreneurial mindset. Since 2016, Nido has grown significantly each year, solidified our operating model, and formed deep community partnerships. Nido employs a deep commitment to our families. For example, during the early days of COVID, Nido’s doors were only closed for 6 days in total. Nido is pioneering holistic prenatal/postnatal support. Nido operates with audacious aspirations and a big heart.
