Job Summary :
The Application Engineer supports customers in selecting, applying, and commissioning precision gearing products. This role involves providing technical expertise, creating tools and training for sales and customer support, and offering feedback to enhance existing products and develop new ones. The engineer will also develop technical materials for products as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support on the selection and sizing of gearing products to customers, distributors, and internal teams.
- Analyze customer needs and develop technical specifications and proposals.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations and demonstrations, both in-person and at trade shows.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand market demands and recommend product improvements.
- Research competitor products and provide insights on technical strengths and weaknesses.
- Assist in adapting product designs and developing technical documents.
- Create and update bills of materials (BOMs), price lists, and repair part documentation.
- Diagnose product issues and recommend solutions to improve quality and performance.
- Assist in creating marketing and technical documents, including catalogs and manuals.
- Document and submit reports on warranty and repair procedures to improve efficiency and service.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and acquire new skills through training sessions.
