Job Summary The sky is no longer the limit as Nidec takes its technology off the ground and into the Aerospace market. As a Project Manager intern with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise to design electric propulsion systems for the battery-powered aircrafts that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B. From ideation to production, you will work with a diverse and experienced team of design engineers to support aerospace industry leaders and spearhead technological advances in transport decarbonization. Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Co-op to join our team specializing in mechanical and electrical engineering projects. This role offers hands-on experience in project planning, execution, and coordination across various engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Assist project managers and engineering teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and milestones. Coordinate resources, equipment, and information to support project activities. Assist in budget tracking, cost estimation, and resource allocation. Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders. Support project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and technical reports. Assist in conducting technical reviews, inspections, and quality assurance activities. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in project management processes and practices. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong academic background with coursework in project management or related disciplines. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Power BI, etc). Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
