What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLASS B+ HEAVY TRUCK DIESEL MECHANIC position at NICOLIA READY MIX?
Nicolia Ready Mix is seeking a CLASS B HEAVY TRUCK DIESEL MECHANIC who has experience working with Front-end loader mixer trucks, tractor-trailers and dump trailers pay loaders, forklift, and piggyback equipment.
You will perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance services on heavy, light, trucks, and equipment. Responsible for repairs, rebuilding, and maintaining diesel and heavy construction equipment. Additional responsibilities, welding, routine repairs, and major component replacements. Need knowledge dealing with air brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Requirements:
- Have own tools
- CDL and NYS Heavy Duty Inspectors License a plus

- Have a positive attitude and be a team player
- Ability to multi-task, follow directions
- Work under pressure in faced paced environment
- 3-5 years’ experience preferred
- Must be computer literate
Salary Range- starting 28/hr commensurate with experience.
Immediate need will be for Yaphank location, however also willing to consider for Nassau County locations including Lindenhurst and Westbury in addition to NYC area.
