Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all office areas.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning procedures, following all safety protocols for chemical handling and sanitation.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor vacuums.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and common areas by replenishing supplies and ensuring proper sanitation.
- Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper handling of chemical agents.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including mop, vacuum and other custodial tools safely and effectively.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines are completed consistently.
- Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors.
