Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP is seeking an Insurance Coverage Counseling and Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join our growing Chicago office and become an integral part of the firm's legal team.
This is an exceptional opportunity to handle challenging and complex issues and disputes (litigated and non-litigated) involving a wide array of industries, subject matters, and legal principles while also developing expertise in a constantly evolving practice area. Our firm promotes a highly collaborative work environment, where attorneys work directly alongside partners in all six offices, have regular client contact, and are encouraged to develop client relationships.
Ideal candidates are self-starters who possess strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to think strategically and problem-solve difficult concepts. Civil litigation or insurance coverage experience is required.

Associate attorney compensation starts at $185,000 annually, with the final offer commensurate with experience. In addition to base compensation, there is the potential for annual performance-based raises and discretionary bonuses. The firm provides benefits plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also eligible to enroll in the 401(K) Profit Sharing Plan, which includes employer contributions.
Education/Experience/Certifications Required:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 2-4 years of insurance coverage or civil litigation experience
- Excellent academic record
- Valid bar license in IL
