Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
• Manage cash transactions accurately, process sales via POS systems, and handle cash safely
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, bar, and service stations
• Assist with food handling, food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and food industry trends
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations
• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and food safety standards
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Experience with fine dining or hospitality settings is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and processing sales transactions smoothly
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and food handling regulations in the food industry
• Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus for supporting overall restaurant operations
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest experiences
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment
