Machine Maintenance Mechanic

Well-established company in Plainville, CT that manufactures intelligently designed products, to ensure the best products and services are provided to support our customers. This critical role of the business is directly involved in the timely and accurate handling of all customer orders into and back out of the business.

We are looking for a disciplined, detail oriented, and consistent team player, to join our team on a full-time basis.

Duties

• On a daily basis work from diagrams, schematics, repair manuals, or verbal instructions to diagnose, repair, or install a wide variety of machines, components, or building materials. Other duties include
• Conduct mechanical and Hydraulic-pneumatic repairs as directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and PM on all industrial equipment
• Work independently with hourly, salary, and contractors as needed.
• Ability to take direction and execute a plan at the discretion of direct manager
• May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications. .
• Maintain all necessary records on all preventative maintenance.
• Refer difficulties to supervisor as appropriate.
• Must always work safely and participate in safety improvement initiatives by raising any safety concerns and helping to come up with corrective actions.
• May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department or cell objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a mechanical repair environment or field
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast paced high stress environment.
• Adheres to all OSHA requirements and follows all company safety standards.
• Ability/comfort to work in confined spaces, crawl in them and work on the ground with hand over head for some extended periods of time.
• Requires ability to lift and pull more than 50lbs at times while making repairs to industrial equipment
• Must be effective in prioritizing activities and addressing details with 100% accuracy.
• Must have strong organization skills.
• Requires basic knowledge of typical operations in manufacturing

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday some Saturdays. On call hours may be required
• Day Shift 7am-3:30p
