Job Overview
As a Deli Associate, you’ll prepare and serve food, manage customer orders, and keep the deli clean, safe, and ready for service. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve deli items while following food safety and sanitation practices.
- Take and manage customer orders, answer questions, and use sales and upselling skills to suggest suitable items.
- Operate kitchen equipment and point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash register operations and retail sales transactions.
- Process cash transactions and handle cash accurately.
- Maintain a clean workspace and support safe food handling throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- Customer service, basic math, time management, and cash-handling skills.
- Food preparation, serving, and food handling experience are helpful; food service, restaurant, café, kitchen, quick-service, or broader food industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage customer orders, operate kitchen equipment, and follow food safety management and sanitation procedures.
- Related culinary experience is welcome but not required.
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
