Duties
- Lay bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Prepare surfaces and foundations using hand tools and power tools for optimal masonry installation
- Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) and perform concrete forming to support structural integrity
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for lifting or moving materials on-site
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of work
- Assist with concrete finishing, stucco application, plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry tasks during renovation or restoration projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of masonry techniques such as bricklaying, blocklaying, stucco, and tile laying
- Familiarity with hand tools (trowels, hammers), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation as needed
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, roofing, and restoration processes is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials safely, and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in masonry and construction techniques
