Job Title: Pathologists’ Assistant
Job Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Schedule: M-F 8:30a-5p
Start Date: 9/22
End Date: 12/31
Duration: 13 Weeks
Weekly Estimated Pay or Pay Range: $3,182.40 to $3,310.80 (Includes hourly rate, meals & incidentals, rental car, lodging, round trip flight – taxed and tax-free income)
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited PA program.
- ASCP PA certification (or eligibility with certification within 6 months).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or reference lab preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic Beaker LIS and voice dictation systems a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed gross dissection and description of a wide range of surgical specimens
- Assist in the performance and documentation of autopsies.
- Photograph gross specimens and maintain image records for clinical and teaching purposes.
- Ensure specimen integrity and accurate labeling throughout the process.
- Collaborate with pathology residents, medical students, and histotechnologists.
- - Participate in departmental QA/QC activities to maintain compliance with CAP standards.
