CNC Machinist – Level III / Programmer
Job Location: Los Angeles, CA
Day Shift | Full-Time | Onsite
Pay rate: $40–$60 per hour (depending on experience), plus relocation assistance if required.

About the Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior CNC Machinist who enjoys hands-on machining, CNC programming, and mentoring in a stable, well-equipped shop environment. The role is ideal for someone who can independently set up, program, and optimize complex CNC operations.
Key Responsibilities (Level III)
- Set up, operate, and optimize CNC milling and/or turning centers
- Independently interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers
- Edit and modify G-code programs at the machine and via CAD/CAM
- Work with Fanuc, Fadal, and/or Yasnac controls
- Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to meet part specifications
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure product conformity
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve cycle times
- Build or modify fixtures as needed
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Support workflow efficiency and mentor junior machinists
- Maintain accurate documentation and statistical reporting
- Deburr, clean, and finish parts as required
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of CNC machining experience (Level III)
- Strong experience with CNC setup, program editing, and optimization
- Proficient with G-code, offsets, cutter compensation, and program adjustments
- Solid blueprint reading and inspection skills
- Experience machining materials such as:
- Stainless Steel
- Inconel
- Titanium
- Aluminum
- Engineering plastics
- Familiar with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height/depth gauges)
- Strong math and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred (Not Required)
- CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam or similar)
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior machinists
- Fixture design or build experience
