Arcade tech

Role Description The Arcade Tech is a part-time, on-site role based in Carrollton, TX. Hours are flexible, but we are looking for someone that can come 3-4 times a week for a few hours each day. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing arcade games and related equipment to ensure they are safe, functional, and ready for guests. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, and completing basic preventative maintenance. The Arcade Tech also assists with game setup and relocation on the floor, keeps work areas organized, and documents maintenance activities. In addition, this role may support front-line staff by responding to guest issues with machines, providing courteous assistance, and coordinating with management when larger repairs or vendor support are needed.

Salary range for this role: $20-25/hr

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude with basic mechanical, electrical, or electronic troubleshooting skills; ability to use hand tools and follow safety procedures.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or a similar hands-on role in entertainment, hospitality, or retail environments is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose issues and follow step-by-step repair processes.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain issues clearly and interact respectfully with guests and team members.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move arcade equipment as needed; comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electronics, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
• Willingness to learn arcade-specific systems, follow company policies, and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
