Farmworkers needed for crawfish season followed by rice season. Work includes tractor driving, field prep, water maintenance, fertilizing, planting, and harvesting crops. Field prep includes operating farm equipment, manual shovel work, hoeing of weeds, spot spray and general farm labor. Help repair and maintain bins, buildings, equipment, farm, fences, field, levees, ponds, property, roads, and shop. Load and unload. May operate motorized crawfish boat and/or walk/push boat. Crawfishing involves manually cutting of fish bait, setting traps, baiting traps, and checking traps. Will need to grade, wash, sack, and ice crawfish for shipment. Also required to make and repair traps as needed. Pickup/deliver crawfish as required. May deliver crop to coolers or market.
