Full time position with time and a half over-time compensation.
Duties:
- Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform with a positive attitude ready to work
- Prepare cooking ingredients
- Undertake basic cooking duties
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Assist in cleaning workplaces
- Assist in maintaining equipment
- Assist as food is prepared, served, held and stored at appropriate temperatures and under sanitary conditions.
- Follow standardized recipes and produces a consistent product.
- Maintain work area and equipment in condition required by standards.
- Prep all items in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist cooks and fellow team members as needed.
- Be responsible for cleaning and proper use of equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
