What are the responsibilities and job description for the Short Order Cook / Prep - Day Shift (Home by 3pm, No Sundays) position at Nick’s Corner Market?
Nick's Corner Market, a family-owned neighborhood shop in downtown Armonk, Westchester County, is hiring an experienced Short Order Cook / Prep for our AM shift. If you know your way around a hot line, love an early start, and take pride in clean, fast food, we want to meet you.
This is a hands-on kitchen role. You'll run the line, build out the breakfast and lunch displays, and keep the day moving.
What you'll do:
Set up the breakfast hot line every morning
Cook and bake pastries, muffins, and morning items
Prep and stock the lunch hot display case
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready to go
Support the front of house during rushes
Schedule:
Monday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
30 minute paid break
Sundays off
What we're looking for:
Experience required. Short order, prep, line, deli, or similar
Reliable and on time (6 AM start is non negotiable)
Strong work ethic and pride in your food
18 or older with a valid driver's license
Comfortable reading a prep list and running multiple items at once
Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus but not required
