Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the bar and restaurant, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the bar industry, with a focus on quick service as well as fine dining experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage staff, maintain high standards of food safety, and drive profitability through strategic planning and execution. You will be expected to work the majority of shifts Wednesday through Saturday, while having Sunday-Tuesday as off days.
Duties
- Oversee and work hands on running the daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Utilize POS systems such as TOAST for cash handling and transaction management.
- Train, develop, and supervise staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards.
- Develop budgets and manage financial performance to meet business goals.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Coordinate catering services, banquets, and special events as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management roles.
- Experience with inventory control and cash handling procedures.
- Familiarity with training & development practices for staff enhancement.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
