Duties

• Safely operate a 24-26 foot box truck, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices
• Load and unload cargo using, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement
• Drive assigned routes efficiently, maintaining accurate delivery schedules while navigating urban and rural areas
• Load, secure, and unload freight with attention to heavy lifting safety protocols and weight handling standards in the workplace
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering shipments promptly, professionally, and with a friendly attitude
• Verify shipment contents against delivery manifests, document any damages or discrepancies, and complete necessary delivery logs. Taking pictures using app to verify pick up and drop offs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure optimal safety and performance

Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, courier, or delivery driver with knowledge of route driving and heavy lifting techniques
• Familiarity with warehouse operations including moving freight using forklifts or pallet jacks
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace
• Ability to operate a box truck with manual transmission safely and efficiently under various conditions
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor during deliveries and interactions with clients
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices for heavy loads to prevent injuries during load & unload activities
• Experience in warehouse environments or logistics operations is highly desirable to enhance efficiency on the job
