Join our team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). In this role, you will provide chairside assistance for surgical procedures and assist with IV anesthesia monitoring. Responsibilities
- Assist surgeon during a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards
- Take radiographs ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage medical documentation by accurately recording patient information, medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes using EMR
- Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties like scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and answering phone calls
- Operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging devices to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain knowledge of dental and medical terminology, anatomy to ensure precise communication and documentation
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with medical documentation and records management is highly desirable
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent patient care skills
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to the oral and maxillofacial field
- Experience operating X-ray equipment safely and accurately for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Nitrous certification will be needed but can be obtained after employment
