Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and personable Rental Sales Representative to join our team. This role is the front line of our rental operations—responsible for assisting customers over the phone and in person, understanding their equipment needs, and ensuring a smooth rental experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a working knowledge of heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming rental calls and assist customers with equipment inquiries, availability, and pricing
- Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Recommend appropriate equipment based on customer needs and job requirements
- Coordinate rental reservations, contracts, and scheduling
- Communicate with operations/yard team to ensure equipment readiness and availability
- Maintain accurate records of rentals, customer interactions, and transactions
- Support overall rental operations and contribute to a positive customer experience
Qualifications:
- Prior experience or knowledge of heavy equipment (preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work a consistent schedule (7 AM – 5 PM)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (experience with rental or CRM systems is a plus)
- Valid driver’s license required
