What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate position at Nichols Electric Supply?
We are looking for a self-motivated and hard working warehouse associate/driver to join our growing team at Nichols Electric Supply in Evansville, Indiana. Nichols Electric Supply is a CED owned company. CED is An Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability and Veteran Status.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle material and associated paperwork from receiving to delivery. Perform all required duties to serve customers and support team goals.
- Deliver material in timely and professional manner to our customers
- Assist in cutting wire when needed
- Locate and re-stock product in assigned locations
- Handle paperwork in a detailed manner consistent with CED policy
- Obtain proper proof of delivery record
- Show professional customer service when delivering
SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday
- 40 hour work week during normal business hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm
- Overtime can be expected and sometimes required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Ability and desire to develop meaningful relationships with customers and co-workers
- Fast, hardworking, driven, and motivated
- High intelligence with the ability to learn quickly
- High School Diploma, or equal
- Minimum of 18 Years Old
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable record
- Read, write, and understand English
- Perform basic math functions in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Understand typical American Standard units of weights & measurements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stand, Bend, Twist, Lift, Reach, and Walk with frequent repetition
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, with occasional sitting
- Listen and speak clearly
- Clear vision, or corrected vision, for near, moderate, and distance
- Lift 50lbs unassisted
